Comic

Today, I’ll be talking about the comic that I made. So I didn’t actually make a story up but earlier this year, we were reading these story’s that were called wisdom tales. These stories always had a meaning behind it and a lesson.

So there was this one story that really stuck out to me. The Lion and the Clever Rabbit. The story is about a cruel lion who kills animals for fun. So the animals come together and they think of a plan. The plan was to send one animal to his den for each meal. So they sent a rabbit to the den. But the rabbit had other plans… He got to his den late on purpose but when the lion asked why he said that there was a big lion that got in the way. Wanting to humble this lion, he asked where it was and the rabbit took him to the well. When the lion saw his reflection, he immediately jumped in and could not get out.

I also chose this because I thought it would be very fun to draw the lion, rabbit, and the reflection. I also love how the rabbit went off the script and did it his own way. The lesson of the story was to not be cruel and that you don’t have to do what others tell you to do. I really enjoyed this project because it felt a little more than just sitting in a desk and taking notes.

OC Aerial

Today I’m going to be talking about when I recently went to OC Aerial for a birthday party. If you don’t know about OC Aerial, it’s basically a place with like American Ninja Warrior challenges and slides. It’s even got a FREE ice cream machine with infinite toppings. So the ages really go from like 7 year olds who just want to have fun to people in their 30s trying to get a good workout in.

Since I’ve never been here before, when I walked in, I was amazed by all the fun that I could see from the entrance. After we signed in, I immediately found my friends and we put our shoes away. The first thing we did was go to the ninja course and I completely failed the first level so that was fun.

Then we went to the slide but it wasn’t any ordinary slide. You would lay on a mat and go down straight down like practically 90 degrees. The first time I went down I sorta out my face down and hit my head but after that I learned one thing. Don’t put your face down while going down a slide.

We went to go eat pizza and right after we went up the stairs to get FREE ice cream. And the line was very long to say the least. Probably because it was FREE. But when we finally got to the front, there was absolutely no vanilla so we had to go chocolate with this one. I got sprinkles and Oreos. It looked like a unicorn spat over the FREE ice cream in a good way.

When we were done eating we went back to playing around on the slides and with the dodgeballs until we got called over to get cake and when we were done eating the cake we tried to go back to the ninja course but all of us were so full that’s we had to take a 10 minute break so we didn’t throw up. After the break was over we played a game of hide and seek tag in the whole building but 30 minutes in I had to leave. To be honest it felt way shorter than 3 hours.

That was the most fun thing I did in a while and it told me that that is the perfect spot for a birthday.

Charlotte Soccer Game

I’m going to talk about the time when I went to Charlotte for my brothers a soccer tournament as well as the charlotte FC game we watched. So a few months before, we find out that he has a tournament in Charlotte and right when we heard this, we started looking for hotels, restaurants, and fun things to do. We come across a hotel we like, A LOT of restaurants, but not to many fun things to do. We brainstorm what we want to do and we look if Charlotte is playing on one of the days and they are so we ended up buying tickets.

So we now have our plan on where we want to go and what we want to do so now we wait around 3 more months until it’s time to pack our bags. I think it was around a 5 hour drive and when I stood up for the first time in 5 hours, it hurt. Like really bad.

For the first day in Charlotte, we checked in our bags, went to the my brothers games and watch them lose both, walked around the city, and went to this burger place where I got a chicken sandwich but instead of the buns they had waffles and I put a lot of honey on it.

The next day, we went to his last 2 games and lost both AGAIN, when we were finally done with all of the soccer priorities, we spent our last day in Charlotte to the max by going to this fine dining place and then they best part of this trip, the game.

We arrived at the game just to be greeted with no parking spots in a 2 mile radius. It was so packed because this was their rival and when we bought the tickets we didn’t even know. We go find someplace for food because we haven’t eaten in maybe 4 hours. We find the only place without 50 people in the line and I got a burger with fried pickles.

We shuffle our way through the seats and when we sit down we realized we were like 5 rows from the ultras. Now if you don’t know ultras are the super loud people chanting, waving flags, and setting off flares. When the whistle was blown and the game started, it got very loud because of them and at the end, Charlotte tied 2-2.

That was a trip that I wouldn’t expect to be so action packed and filled with joy. I’ve never really been on a trip like that before so I had a lot of fun.
